Bought a Battery from Yashica Guy

God I’m pissed. So I bought a battery for my Yashica Electro 35 and guess what? It came home and on the side of the envelop was a small whole. What the hell?! Some one stole my BATTERY! I don’t even know why. Why? I don’t think that battery even works on anything besides decades old cameras…

Well I guess it will be awhile until my Yashica Electro will functioning again.
Latr guys.

Yashica Electro 35 GS – Need Help!

Ok so I go this Yashica Electro 35 GS because I love 35mm rangefinders. I got it pretty cheap but I can’t seem to get the meter to work. Apparently they don’t make the batteries needed for this camera anymore. If anyone has any suggestions or advice please let me know!

Also I’ve tried using a PX28A 6v battery with a spring, but it doesn’t seem to work either.

First Post! + The Holga

Whooo First post!

Hi everybody, my name is Anthony and this is my blog called “Cameras, Cars, and Comics” which can be found at

To summarize, this blog will be a place where I can talk about my three loves in life: cameras, cars, and comics.
I’m a photo major in college and I love to experiment with different cameras, films, and other equipment. I will often post photos I’ve taken etc. At the moment It’s kind of a hobby so don’t expect pro quality!

My other love is my car. I drive an ’08 Honda Fit. I knew I knew I wasn’t going for speed so i went for style instead. I’ll post photos of my car and other cars from meets or car shows. I’ll also talk about what I’ve done to my car.

Lastly is my love for comics. I’m kind of a geek, so you’ll hear me rant a lot about comic books, movies, and even anime and manga.

Now about the Holga.

I’ve been into lo-fi and lomography these last few months and have tried many cameras like the Diana, Diana Mini, BlackBird Fly, etc. but this is my first experience with the Holga.

If you don’t know about lomography or the holga, I suggest you go to this website:
A great place to learn about all kinds of stuff from the Holga to setting up your own darkroom (kind of).

So far the Holga has been pretty interesting. I don’t like not using a meter, but being limited is kind of the point I guess. Using 120 film is a new thing to me also.
So far I’ve been getting some cool effects and I am trying different films with it.

Here are some test shots so far:
Used Fuji Pro 400H.

Holga Flower

Holga Soccer

The RSX is my friend’s car.

Next I am gonna talk about either Wek Fest or my car.
